About Me

I’ve had the great privilege and pleasure to have been a professional documentary photographer for more than thirty-five years. As wonderfully challenging, interesting and exciting as all those stories and adventures have been they were in truth but a prelude to what I believe my true purpose is. Everything before was done in order to get me to this place, this moment, this realisation and this story. Whilst I’m grateful to the past I feel all debts have now been settled and therefore I no longer want to be owned by it, time for a new story to be told about the present.

Since the very dawn of our species, we have felt the need to communicate with each other by making marks and art on cave walls, showing something about and to each other of ourselves and the world we inhabited. In essence I believe my documentary photography is just another iteration of this ancient desire to tell stories and bear witness.

The photographic work I make is all part of my own personal cave wall. It’s a way for me, through documentary photography to discover more about my fellow human beings and this wonderful world we inhabit.

My sole focus of interest is Home Town Stories.

Wishing you all fair light and full frames
